Our Story
Zacatecas Heritage. San Jose Home.
Slow-cooked, family-made, served the way it's always been done.

Birria Patro Jaramillo started in 2015 as a family recipe brought north from Zacatecas — slow-cooked birria, made low and slow in a rich chili broth, the way it's been made for generations.
Every tortilla is pressed and cooked by hand. Every batch of consomé simmers for hours before the doors even open. Nothing here is a shortcut — it's a family standing behind a recipe they grew up on, sharing it with San Jose.
What started as a family recipe has grown into a neighborhood favorite — but the way we cook hasn't changed. Every plate that leaves the kitchen is made the same way it was made for us growing up.
“We make it the way it's always been made — slow, careful, and with everything we've got.”
